Riset yang dilakukan oleh Labsosio – Pusat Kajian Sosiologi FISIP Universitas Indonesia pada Oktober–Desember 2025 mengevaluasi pelaksanaan MBG di lima daerah: Kota Kupang, Kota Depok, Kabupaten Sukabumi, Kabupaten Garut, dan Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Penelitian ini melibatkan 1.267 responden dari 30 sekolah melalui metode mixed methods, yang menggabungkan survei kuantitatif dan wawancara mendalam dengan siswa, guru, orang tua, serta pengelola dapur program MBG.
Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) menjadi salah satu kebijakan yang mendapat perhatian luas dari publik.
